I have been poking around in the data from running msinfo32 a few months ago and just now. Does the "xp" in parentheses suggest that it thinks my system is Windows XP? It is not.

Occasionally when selecting Automatic driver mode in Windows 10, you’ll be presented with several options. In the vast majority of cases where you see the ‘no audio output device is installed’ error, re-installing the driver will address the issue. Reboot your system if prompted and retest.

Select Automatic and let Windows find the driver or manual if you would prefer to do it yourself.
